Returning the favor (Engine)

The commute between home and work or any recurring short trip by car is not something we dwell on usually. We just go from A to B (and back) leaving all the hard work to the engine of our car.

 

In this videowork I am returning the favor by pushing the engine from my home in the Dutch countryside to Den Haag, the city where the engine would be exhibited as part of an installation. The idyllic predominantly green and frozen landscape slowly gives way to the buildings of a busy city.
